 Getting Started Safe Environment Training Program:

  1. Go to the Diocese of Peoria training hub

  2. Create a new account by completing all the boxes. This includes address, primary parish and how you participate at your parish or school. If you have questions please contact your parish/school coordinator. 

  3. Your main learning dashboard will show you all of the requirements and optional training curriculums that have been customized for your particular role within the Diocese. 

  4. Click "Start Curriculum" for Safe Environment Training. At the background check section follow these steps:
    a) Be sure to fill in the AUTHORIZATION FOR BACKGROUND CHECK (CANTS) form online. You MUST print completed form and sign it. Electronic signatures are not accepted.
    b) Your Background Check Payment selection MUST BE "Paid By User" and the $9.00 processing fee paid with your credit/debt card.

  5. Once the training is finished, please verify your curriculum status on the dashboard is “Completed” and bring your signed AUTHORIZATION FOR BACKGROUND CHECK (CANTS) form to the elementary school or parish office.

A volunteer has been trained when the online class is completed, the criminal background check results are posted and the CANTS form is submitted for processing. All Safe Environment Training records will be retained at the Peoria Diocese.

 
Getting Started Vehicle Training Program: 

  1. Go to the Diocese of Peoria training hub.

  2. Create a new account by completing all the boxes. This includes address, primary parish and how you participate at your parish or school. If you have questions please contact your parish/school coordinator. 

  3. Your main learning dashboard will show you all of the requirements and optional training curriculums that have been customized for your particular role within the Diocese. 

  4. Click “Start Curriculum” for Vehicle Training. 

  5. Once the training is completed, you must access your completion certificate by returning to the training dashboard and clicking “Download Certificate”. 

  6. Bring your Vehicle Training certificate to the parish office.  You will also need to complete the Volunteer Driver form and return this form with your certificate to the parish office.
